What role do you play in eLearning at BTC?
I'm a course designer with the Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Science and Technology in Canada, but was invited to join this community.
What would you like to gain from participating in this network?
I would like to learn new ways of assisting the instructors that I work with to integrate technology in their own learning as well as their teaching.
What would you like to contribute to this network?
I would like to share ideas from what we're already doing here in Saskatchewan.

Networking and Sharing

I wrote about the BTC eLearning community on my other blog yesterday so I figured I should cross-post it here.

I wrote a blog post a couple of weeks ago that has received a lot of hits (although not the number of comments that I had hoped for). The overall message of my post was that Canadian colleges need to be working together to serve t… Continue

I'm Podcasting

Just a quick post to let you know that I am finally podcasting. The first three episode are available in iTunes (search for McToonish) or here

I basically followed Jen's tutorial for using Audacity and Podbean to get these done. Thanks for that, Jen!

A New Plan for Canadian Colleges: A Call for Change and Collaboration

Jen asked me to add this post from my other blog so here it is.

Hi Heather,

No posting yet, and yes I did share the link. A number of us discuss educational issues there in the "Educators Forum", and I liked your post.

They may be thinking about it: (~!| http://www.teachertube.com/view_video.php?viewkey=1b7858733e1108bf556f

Heather, welcome to our network! I'm so glad you joined us. Maybe you could write a blog or discussion post talking about some of the programs you are looking to infuse with tech and see if any of our instructors have idea or would like to collaborate.
