What role do you play in eLearning at BTC?

I am an experienced eLearner, as I completed my MLS online. I look forward to learning more about new technology, as well as sharing experiences with the BTC community.

What would you like to gain from participating in this network?

I would like to continue learning about new resourses available, as technology changes rapidly. I would like to see the library become more involved in eLearning and reaching out to distance learners.

What would you like to contribute to this network?

I am interested in sharing ideas and knowledge.

Have you tried Wordle?

Wordle is a website that lets you create your own word clouds. Html code is given once you save it on the site, which allows you to post the cloud on your webpage. You can also print the word cloud and use it as a poster or sign. Great for promoting campus events.
I have created a word cloud using eLearning helpdesk information that is now available in the BTC Library.

What was the highlight of your vacation?

I enjoyed the snow. There's something about being snowed in and sitting cuddled up on the couch with a cup of cocoa, a nice book to read, or keeping up with our friends and collegues on Facebook. It is nature's way of making us slow down a bit and enjoy the beauty around us. Welcome back!

Welcome Back!

I would like to welcome everyone back from winter break. The library will be open today, Monday, January 5th, and Tuesday, January 6th, from 9 AM - 3 PM. We will resume our regular hours Wednesday, January 7th, which are as follows:
Monday-Thursday 7 AM - 7 PM
Friday 7 AM - 4 PM
Closed Saturday and Sunday
The library will be closed the following holidays:
January 19th and February 16th

Ning Challenge... Good, Bad, Ugly

Fall quarter went by so fast. We had several students pass through our library this quarter - a total of 25,213, which is 2,354 more students than spring quarter. Finals week was busy in the library. We had a total of 2,199 students this past week finishing up their final projects, assignments, and preparing for their final exams. It was nice to see students using our library's resources.
