Thanks Jeff , it looks like Im starting to get the hang of this high-tech stuff. I hope the danes are having a great time over in diesel. We sure had fun with them in the weld shop. have a great day!
HI Jeff, thanks for the comment! It only took me, let's see, a week to respond! I guess I should make this more of a part of my "regular" work, eh? And, yes, this could be a good forum for discussion across the curriculum, although I'm not ready to incorporate diesel tech into my anatomy class! :)

Jeff, I'm getting a lot of his on one of my blog posts (http://www.mctoonish.com/blog/?p=416)through the International Automotive Technician's Network. Jen thought it might be you who shared the link with them. Their discussion boards are closed off so I can't see what they're saying (if anything). If it was you, thanks for sharing the link. Could you give me an idea of what they're saying?
Hi Jeff, thanks for reaching out. I am an adjunct faculty and don't have much time for this kind of stuff, but I wanted to acknowledge your message. Thanks.
Looks like someone lit a fire under you, Jeff, with all of the contacts you've made in the last day. I've been here as a clerical temp. in admissions and the career center since early October, and full-time in Student Financial Resources working with FSET, Worker Retraining and agency funding for students since November. I try to get out of my cloister now and then to find out what's going on in other parts of the campus (which takes the primary form of lunch at the staff table when possible), but my work ties my down to my desk most days.
I taught English at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette where I was working on my PHD in English Language and Literature before relocating to Bellingham about a year and a half ago. I am passionate about people and higher education, and would love to make a foray out to your department sometime. Just send the invite :P
I work at SVC and am the E Learning Coordinator there. My husband, Ted Rodriquez, is the department chair for the Electronic Engineering Technonoly department, at SVC and is an adjunct for BTC.
what's "beter" understanding? LOL. Thanks Jeff for leading me to this site before the mass invite...made me feel special. The format and membership is so much more formal than I expected....it might not be BTC, but it sure is. Ah well, who wanted real discussion anyway?

Thanks, after yesterdays meeting and your gentle comment referring to this site, I thought this is the time to do it and explore it. Have a happy Thanksgiving, Hilde
