Fall Quarter 2008

This fall, as always, got off to a busy, hectic, but fun start. We were told this quarter that the college had 400 more studnets than the fall before. I also doubled the amount of Opportunity Grant students going from 45 to over 90. Our IBEST programs saw some of the highest numbers yet. No wonder it felt like there was a stream of non-stop students! Also this fall, I moved offices (for the 5th time!) to the Career Center and got a new boss under the newly developed Workforce Funding department. I LOVE my new office and hope that if I stay quiet that I will never have to move again!

Comment by Lesley Ann Wallace on December 17, 2008 at 8:29am: How ironic that you have more students than ever and we are going into budget cuts...the fallacy of political commitment to quality educational outcomes and the friction of money. As far as moving again, think about how much more of the campus you have experienced than most people! Because you are so mobile, don't quite get all your "stuff" in until this quarter is over-then give a sigh of relief and settle down!
