Ning Challenge... Good, Bad, Ugly

Fall quarter went by so fast. We had several students pass through our library this quarter - a total of 25,213, which is 2,354 more students than spring quarter. Finals week was busy in the library. We had a total of 2,199 students this past week finishing up their final projects, assignments, and preparing for their final exams. It was nice to see students using our library's resources. This quarter there were actually students waiting for a table to study at and waiting to use a computer. Group study room use has increased as well. This reminds me of the time before we expanded our library.

I would like to encourage all faculty to send their students down to the library for research assistance, or call and schedule a library orientation designed specifically for your class. We have a great team here at the library with lots of knowledge to share. Give us a call at 752-8383, or call Jane at 752-8472 to schedule your orientation for winter quarter.

I would also like to thank everyone for the cookie donations for our students during finals week.

The academic library should be looked as a hub for any college and with the staff you all have, you make it warm and inviting. I spent a lot of time there this quarter too and I never saw it empty. What were the circulation stats?
