BTC eLearning

learn and collaborate with BTC instructors and staff

I haven’t been here long enough to have any Ugly…and usually my point of view is not very critical to begin with unless I find myself problem solving! I do have an imaginary book hanging on my wall called the “Book of Weird” but really most of you are not in it by name…except maybe Jeff Curtis…and really he's not weird just smart and well versed!

My book of weird contains interesting tidbits that happened to me in the last few months, like one day I was introduced to a PhD who was pushing 70. Sat Paul-hope I spelled that right-had asked him to come in and meet with e learning to see, as he said, “If I am ready to teach on line”.

Well, obviously he, at one time could have been a great teacher…but he didn’t even own a computer. I continued to amuse myself with questions for him, seeking out allotments of his experience which, quite frankly, were very interesting, but it was clear he probably did not know how to turn a ‘put on to begin with. So, I made another appointment with him anyway, because I see only hope in everyone. Later that month he called to cancel.
Darn it…it could have been my biggest challenge this year.

If anyone wants to view my Book of Weird, stop by sometime. For now, though I am very happy with my job, I love coaching and supporting you all in my favorite subjects, curriculum, comprehension, and instruction…and to your advantage, not only is it my passion, but I am good, REAL GOOD at it, I have four generations of teaching in my blood, by now it’s DNA.

It is always great to hear of those that are passionate about their job. My dream was to become a librarian. There is nothing quite like doing something you love and getting paid for it.

I'll be stopping by to see that book of weird! Have you considered someday sending it down to the library for cataloging (You know, for archiving BTC history, and all that)? I know how much Lynn loves an original cataloging challenge! I am glad you brought your DNA to campus!
