If I share new electronic discoveries or library resources -- like Shelfari or a tutorial --as myself, it seems sort of "ownerish" which isn't really accurate. Libraries, after all, are social institutions. What are the options for communicating on campus? Everybody emails are not especially popular and we have little control over the content on our webpages. Maybe the communication tools we really need aren't here yet. I will have to think more about this. Thanks for the 2 cents!
